Gabbro-diabase mineral powder for road works "KarelLit A" will appear in Karelia

The industrial technology park resident OOO NPO Rosa has developed a formula for a new mineral powder for road construction. The main raw material used is gabbro-diabase, the most famous Karelian igneous rock. MP-3 mineral powder was produced from the waste from this rock with carefully selected hydrophobic activating agents.

Currently, the necessary documents are being collected to register the declaration of conformity of the mineral powder with the regulatory documents.

The new powder will be named after its place of origin, “KarelLit A”.

The use of “KarelLit A” as a component of asphalt concrete and other types of organomineral and crushed stone-mastic mixtures will significantly improve the characteristics of the mixtures as well as achieve a significant economic effect.

The specialists at the OOO NPO “Rosa” regularly conduct research aimed at obtaining new materials and their practical application in new products and technologies creation. One promising area of research is developing a strategy for replacing quarry sand with non-recyclable waste from secondary raw materials.

The NPO “Rosa” plant specializes in producing a wide range of outdoor furniture made from recycled polymers with added mineral powder.

Most models are based on durable, in-house-produced slats in a variety of colors. A distinctive feature of the finished product is its durability. It is resistant to external factors such as moisture, temperature changes, and mechanical damage.

The plant products were presented at the fourth international forum “Karelforum-2025” and received high praise from the experts in the field of architecture and construction.
