The company “EFER”: Karelian firefighting robots are conquering the international market
The company “EFER” delivered robotic fire extinguishing systems to Uzbekistan. This was announced by the company CEO, Sergei Nemchinov, at the meeting on social and economic development of Petrozavodsk.
Following the business mission from Karelia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, previously conducted by the Head of the region, Artur Parfenchikov, contracts were signed between the OOO “Ingenernyi Tsentr EFER” and the OO “BINOKOR TEMIR-BETON SERVIS” for the supply of specialized equipment for protection of aircraft and helicopter hangars of the OOO “Uzbekistan Airways Technics” located at the airfield “Tashkent-Vostochnyi”.
On the basis of the results already achieved, the OOO “Ingenernyi Tsentr EFER” plans to expand its presence in the Uzbek market and is prepared to sign new contracts as part of the Republic of Karelia business mission to the Republic of Uzbekistan scheduled for 2026.
– Last year was a successful one for us. We surpassed the 1 billion ruble mark in revenue, product shipments, and open orders. Last year, the number of government contracts increased, including defense contracts. The exports accounted for 25% of our revenue. We've already manufactured and delivered robotic fire extinguishing systems to protect aircraft hangars at Tashkent International Airport. Our future plans include expanding into Uzbekistan oil and gas industry, – said the company CEO, Sergei Nemchinov.
The Karelian company the OOO “Ingenernyi Tsentr EFER” is a pioneer in fire robotics in Russia as a new field in fire safety automation. For over 40 years, the center has been solving fire protection problems for unique and hazardous facilities. The center specializes in development and production of fire-fighting equipment and components, as well as creation and implementation of new technologies and equipment for fire protection of facilities.
The company has now developed unique fire nozzles with record-breaking power, which have successfully passed the certification process and have already entered serial production. The first two mobile units were delivered to protect a strategic oil and gas facility in Central Russia. This significant development for the domestic fire safety market highlights technological progress and import substitution in this critically important field.
The Karelian engineers have developed a line of fire monitor nozzles with a record-breaking extinguishing agent flow rate in Russia – up to 330 liters per second (1,188 m³/hour). This high output allows them to be used to protect high-hazard facilities, including oil storage facilities, chemical plants, shipbuilding, and coastal infrastructure. These nozzles are capable of generating a continuous stream of water with an impressive throwing range.
– The Karelian companies produce unique products that are in high demand on the global market, – said Artur Parfenchikov. – The local investors need every possible assistance and support, including promoting their products on the Russian and global markets. Assisting Petrozavodsk companies is a priority. It's a positive image for Karelia and our workforces that produce unique equipment and devices. For the regional economy, such companies create new jobs and ensure stable tax revenues for the city budget.
